Food Drop 2010!

Tomorrow morning two semi’s will arrive at the Elkhart Campus (RV Hall of Fame) full of food boxes.  By noon these boxes will be delivered all over the greater Elkhart area.

Why?

Because of the amazing, missional people of Granger Community Church!  We buy the boxes (through our Christmas offering), we pack the boxes (at Second Saturday), now we get the joy of delivering them to those in our communities who need them.  This is a difficult season for so many:  because we love Jesus and we love people, we choose to be part of the solution!  We are never more like Jesus then when we serve others. Between our Elkhart and Granger campuses, a total of six semis filled with over 75,000 tons of food and personal items will be distributed throughout the region tomorrow.

So here’s the scoop:

• Arrive at either campus by 9am for a rally (get there early at 8:30 for donuts and coffee).
• All info and instruction you need will be shared at the 9am rally.
• Don’t worry…no training required.  You just need a desire to serve others with others.
• Those who meet in Elkhart will help deliver close to 2000 boxes of food and supplies to 8 locations throughout the Elkhart area (including one in Michigan!)
• We’ll be done by noon – plenty of time for you to grab lunch, knowing that you’ve spent your morning providing lunch for those who need it most.
