The Elkhart Campus is filled with some amazing, talented, gifted people.

And Shannon West is one of them.

Shannon loves Jesus. Big Time. And God has given her talents and abilities that she’s choosing to use for him.  Photography, writing, acting – she’s gifted in so many creative areas.  I love that we get to learn and see glimpses of God as we watch her use her abilities.

To kick off our “Distant” series, Shannon performed in a piece called “Looking Up”.  I’m so proud of her.  God used her to guide our thinking into the questions that each of us wrestle with in our faith journey.

How did Shannon hear about GCC?  From the amazing Kristen Baker. Kristen is not only on our staff as an incredible writer and performer in creative arts, she also teaches acting with a local drama group that Shannon performs in.  Last year Kristen told Shannon about a new GCC campus launching in Elkhart, and I’m thrilled she did!  Shannon went public with her faith and was baptized last month.  As you can see in the picture below, she was thrilled to let everyone know that Jesus is the leader of her life!
